Visit from Congressman Walz

Tim Walz is a congressman. He spoke at Bamber Valley. Tim Walz worked at Mankato high school and was born in West Point, Nebraska. About every week he commutes to Washington D.C. He said quote "My concern is the limited amount of resources." I think it was cool hearing from a politician.

On April 9th, 2009 our class got to go to an assembly and meet Tim Walz! During the assembly a fifth grader asked what his basic routine was and he said that he gets up at 6:00am. At 6:30 he goes to the gym, at 7:30 he reads ALL of the newspapers from southern Minnesota (including Rochester) on the computer and at about 8:30 he goes to meetings for the rest of the day.

Then, listen to this, he taught school in China and there are NO left handed students in China. And the Chinese people have not heard of fortune cookies! Mr. Walz also taught 4th, 6th, 11th, and 12th grades in Mankato, MN.
